Welcome to Tamarac at Colden Lodge on Lake Flower in Saranac Lake. This unique 3BR/2 Bath cabin is perfect for 2, 4, 6 but can comfortably accommodate 8. Appointed in classic Adirondack style this fully winterized cozy waterfront cabin has a full kitchen, living room and private hot tub. Just 25′ to the waterfront this modified A frame has its own sandy beach and access to over 50 miles of contiguous waterways, and lakes via Oseetah, Kiwassa, Lower and Middle Saranac Lakes.

THE CABIN SPACE AND AREA

Tamarac Cabin is a very cozy waterfront cabin with plenty of room for just 2, 4, 6 or 8 people comfortably. The ground floor offers a master bedroom, full kitchen, full bathroom, sofa, and love seat. There is a dining room table that seats 5 and 3 counter bar stools. 4 burner propane stove and full kitchen with microwave, air fryer/toaster and fridge. There is also a washer and dryer in the lower bathroom. The lower queen master bedroom has two-night tables with lamps, a dresser and a small closet.

There is an upstairs shower bathroom, two upstairs bedrooms with 1 queen bed and twin bed in each. Lakeside is less than 25 feet away from the front door.

Kayaks and Paddle boats are available from May 1st to October 15^th. We cannot offer them earlier due to low water temperatures in the 40’s and the dangers associated with tipping over and hypothermia. Lifejackets must be worn when launching any vessel from the property.

SPECIAL GUEST NOTE REGARDING SPECIAL AMENITIES AND HOUSE POLICIES:

1. No smoking of any kind is permitted in the cabin. Please also clean up if you smoke cigarettes.
2. Due to periodic outages, electrical surges and current supply chain limitations that are beyond our control we cannot offer any refunds on hot tub outages or other special amenities greater than $25.00/ stay. We do everything in our power to provide guests with all of our listed amenities, but we just cannot plan for the unplannable beyond a reasonable expectation. While we try to keep in stock at all times back-up electronics, pumps and serviceable parts we just cannot be held to further financial liability for these supply chain issues and limitations than mentioned above. We hope you understand.

GUEST ACCESS:

The neighborhood is a bedroom community. Please respect our neighbor’s privacy. Quite from 10PM to dawn is greatly appreciated. In summer parking for two vehicles is down the driveway and in winter it is topside in the street level parking area on the west side of the property for up to two vehicles. If you need more space, we can probably accommodate you but please make arrangements with us prior to your arrival. Access to Tamarac is a walk down the driveway only in winter. From the street top to cabin entrance is about 150 feet down the driveway to the cabin. We do everything we can to sand and salt the driveway in winter, but this walk down can be slippery during the best of times and with winter weather transitions great care should be taken and guests are advised to wear appropriate footwear all times unless you’re in the hot tub.

NEIGHBORHOOD LOCATION DESCRIPTION

Colden Lodge and our two cabins are located in a quiet bedroom community. Many homes are owner occupied and we hope and expect that each of our guests strive to maintain the natural beauty and quietness of the neighborhood.

CABIN ACCESS:

In the winter and during snowy or inclement weather parking for Baker Cabin is on the street level above the cottage only. Access to the cottage is about a 100′ walk down a somewhat steep packed dirt and gravel driveway to the walkway and balcony of Baker. The driveway is not paved so appropriate footwear is necessary.

Kayaks and Paddle boats are available May 1 due to low water temperatures in the low 40’s and the dangers associated with hypothermia.

PET POLICY: We are pleased to welcome your dog or cat under the following conditions:

1. A flat fee of $75.00 will be charged per pet per stay.
2. Guests must get prior approval of management for more than one pet.
3. The pets may not be left in the cottage or cabin alone unless kenneled AND prior arrangements are made. Additionally, the lodge management must have access to your cabin during this period in the event of an emergency with your pet.
4. An additional security deposit may be required.
5. You clean up all droppings when you walk your pet on the property.
6. They must always be leashed while on the property outside.
7. They must not be allowed on the furniture or to sleep in bed. Any dog hair found on the furniture will result in an additional cleaning fee and/or loss of any security deposit. Please bring a throw blanket for your pet to snuggle on.
8. Any damage caused by your pet will be subject to a loss claim.
